The Blues can excel in Champions League - the England star states
Cole Palmer insists Chelsea do not see this edition of the Champions League as a "learning curve" - as they aim to be successful in it immediately.
The manager's side were second-best as they lost 3-1 to a veteran Bavarian side at Allianz Arena on midweek.
It was the club's first appearance in the tournament since April 2023 - and the match highlighted a inexperienced side will need to learn on what it takes to compete at that level.
But head coach the Italian stated his side can take plenty from the setback and "create something special" - while winger Palmer has disputed the idea that they can't do that promptly.
"Chelsea are not coming here for it to be a experience builder," Palmer stated. "The squad have demonstrated tonight we aim to compete and we plan to do as best as we can."
